Gina Bednarz's 3-Day Florida PledgePage

From April 19 to 21 I will be walking 60 miles from Boca Raton to Miami in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-day in hopes that I can make a difference in the lives of the one million people who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. I am not a cancer survivor, nor do I know someone battling this disease directly, but my reasons for walking are simple:

I have a mother, a sister, aunts, cousins, friends and a daughter. I AM a daughter, a sister, a wife, a friend, an aunt, a cousin and a mother. For you, for me, for all of us. For all those fighting the battle, for all those who have lost it, and for all of those left behind. Because I Am A Woman.

I ask you to please log on to the website below, my personal homepage for the three-day, and donate if you can. No amount is too small (or too large!) and I firmly believe that every dollar brings us closer to a cure. What's more, the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade saves lives each and every day by using it's resources to help women with undetected breast cancer find out early enough to survive. So far, they've raised over $134 million through these walks alone. That's right, people just like you and me, saving lives everyday...AWESOME! The ability to save the life of another human being is something I never thought I would be able to experience, but here I am doing things I never thought I would have the courage, strength or nerve to do and I can tell you that I'm overwhelmed and the walk hasn't even started!

You can donate on-line, which they make very easy, or you can mail a donation. However, the donation train is running really slow in Chicago right now, so if you would like to mail it, you can print out a form on-line (or send me the info and I will happily do it for you), make out the check to "Avon Breast Cancer 3-day Florida", and send it to my home address; Gina Bednarz, 732 Calm Drive, Brandon, FL 33511. (I have quite a few donations that are still sitting in limbo and don't show up yet on my account or site so I will bring the rest of the !) If you can't donate this time around, I ask for your prayers for my faith, endurance, and poor little blistered feet! If you do donate, PLEASE e-mail me so that I can very humbly, sincerely, and gratefully thank you in person (or at least by e-mail). Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, please log on to my page, donate if you are both able and willing, and feel free to e-mail me with any questions, comments or words of encouragement that you like.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Gina Bednarz, walker #2289, 3-Day Florida

p.s. (and I know I'm really pushing my luck, but bear with me) If there is anyone on your e-mail list who you feel would hold this cause near and dear to their heart, would you please forward this e-mail to them and ask them to look up my page as well? THANK YOU!
